Control the strength of a colour

26 Oct

The exercise is about controlling the strength of a colour by having different exposures from -1 to +1 EV.

I chose for that two subjects, one is the coursematerial of the OCA and as the second subject I chose the wrapping of my reflector due it their strong colours. With the second subject I wanted to go a step further, looking at even more “extreme” lighting, in other words I went down to -2 EV.

Looking at the pictures it confirms what I had read earlier on. Brightness/Luminance is altered while hue and saturation is unaltered. When looking at the pictures of the reflectorwrapping I think it becomes clear what the difference between hue, saturation and brightness is.
